Katong dinner

Hungry souls are advised not to continue reading this post.

It was like any other night without our dearest uncle Vincent.

around dinner time, hungry souls all over the block will start msning each other and to find company for dinner. Like any other night, we gathered at level 4 and set off without deciding where to eat.

As david drove out, we finally decided. Katong Laksa. After a long journey along ecp (and witnessing 2 traffic accident) we finally arrived at 328 katong laksa. It has been years since I last went there. How I miss s62 times. After eating the Singapore acclaimed Katong laksa, the guys decided to continue our eating frenzy with "5 stars Chicken Rice". It was only so-so but the bill came up to be not so so-so. I guess it will be my last time there (unless someone is treating me).

Anyway, as we were walking back to David's car, a Hagen Daz shop must be along the way. Unable to resist the temptations, most of us came out of the shop with ice cream in our hands. (TO all hagen daz card holders: your card may expired before you know it, as in the case of darius).

This is the first night that I am not having supper since the end of Chinese new year.

Had the most fun game of sepak since IHG. I think we finally stopped playing like amatures. Almost all of us can set, kill, pass, receive........ althought not 100% but we are slowly progressing towards it.

There is still soccer and hockey 2morrow. Despite my reluctance to play --I am too nua since MIDS -- i shall "show face" and most likely, enjoy the game as well. Hiakkzzz i am suppose to mug.

Announcement in the IVLE

Saw this announcement in my IVLE. It's from my Heavenly Maths lecturer, who is a damn humorous guy.

Hi guys,

I just got the following letter from the FASS.

******

Dear A/P Aslaksen -
I have your students turning up at Dean's Office, requesting access to our roof top to take photographs during sunrise and sunset, and they claim it is a project for your class.
Due to security and safety concerns, our rooftop access for AS7 is restricted, I would also not encourage students to access rooftops of FASS buildings, as I believe OED would have some concerns about general safety and potential damage to waterproofing in these areas which are not meant for congregation.
I would appreciate your advising students of other methods to obtaining the necessary photographs for your project.

In the meantime, I will decline their requests to access the rooftop.

Thank you for your understanding.
Best Regards

*******

I definitely want to encouarge and reward creativity and imagination in the homework. However, you need to show common sense, courtesy, safety and follow rules.

You also have to remember that if you ask a bureacrat a yes/no question, the answer is always "NO"!

The story I told about a group of students last year who were approached by the police was just because my students had found a very unusal place. The police did not chase them away.

So by all means find great places to take the pictures, but don't get yourself into trouble. Please try to stay out of trouble and don't bother the bureaucrats too much.

OK?

Helmer
