Taiwan!!!

Day 1:
Departed Singapore at 1pm and reached Taipei at about 6.30 after 5 hours plus of cramping ourselves in the "beloved" jetstarasia seats. It is a "wonderful" experience no doubt.
The next greatest experience was the unnecessary amount of time we walked around Taipei main station in search of a hostel. The biggest and most "wonderful" surprise we had that day was the hostel "suit"(as stated in the website) that greeted us.

Our "beloved" bedspace

Day 2:
After about 1 hour of sleep (the damn aircon is faulty and it's about 35 degree), we woke up at 5 am and left the godforsaken place in search of breakfast before making our way to taichung. After the "wonderful" experience, we decided to stay in a hotel instead. Which is a smarter choice, considering that we paid 300NT for a night with no air con in a hostel and 400NT for a room with nice bed, individual bathroom and most importantly, a television with access to over 100 plus channels.

After putting down our backpacks (we were using backpacks because we knew we would spend a lot of time searching for hotels), we followed a tourist map and walked about 2 km to their main shopping mall 中友百货,which is really a gigantic takashimaya which is about 12 stories of shopping. Then we met the most friendly people we had ever come across who gave us a treat in a place we would only have seen in 食字路口。

yixiang was extremely happy that he got to ride a bicycle in Taiwan. I am still quite puzzled by that thought. Garry got to ride a scooter and almost lost his hand.

Day 3 and 4:
Nothing much other than shopping and shopping and shopping.

Day 5:
Visit Leofu village, I am still figuring out how it get this English spelling. The only ride I enjoy is the Vikings.

Day 6:
Went Taipei and continued with shopping shopping and shopping. We also got addicted to the free throw machine which is a craze there. There are tonnes of shops filled with those machines and they are always occupied.

Day 7:
Continued with the endless shopping and watching garry and yixiang indulge in their favorite activity, shopping for posters. That night also mark the disposal of Garry's most prominent facial feature, his mole.
Day 8:
After even more shopping, we are back to Singapore.
