When I was younger, I always believe that everyone thinks the same way since everyone go through the same shit in school. In fact most people i know are damn on, ableit in a different way. Since everyone is unique, this is no surprise. Maybe everyone just have to learn to respect differences if they are not strongly against your religion, principles and belief. I seriously hate ponding turn ugly which can happen quite often if certain personalities are around. Although I am against ponding, and trying very hard not to get involved in one, I still won't spoil the fun by showing everyone the face when i am ponded and stuff. Like i really really hate people dwelling on the stupid name HJH, even so at times i feel like skinning those bastards alive (in fact there is only one guy lah). Maybe one fine day in the not so long future, I may just explode and set fire and burn him alive and laugh at his ordeal. Even I don't set fire on him, there is a high possibility of me making sure he experience 10 times as much torment when i get the chance. I didn't know I am so evil.

Take a step back
For a short while after reading Tuesday with Morrie (a nice book), I consciously think about the content of the book. So much so that I believe that the book will make my life a more fulfilling one. After a while, other things came along and some things had to go. Being a last min/happy go lucky/bo chup typical guy, I subconsciously lose sight of the teachings of the book. However, one thing that I remembered and still practise after so long is "taking a step back". I don't mean the famous army slogan, "Suffer in silence" or even siam from everything. Those who have read the book should know that it roughly means allowing yourself to experience something fully before "taking a step back".
I have never been ponded before today and I never really liked the idea of ponding people. After today, I must say, ponding is a fun event for the ponders. Despite being dragged by so many people, I can constantly hear laughters and see the smile/grin on their faces. Not many activities can achieved this result with so little being planned or done. Being ponded is not really that woefully or scary, you just lose the bragging rights to say that I have NEVER been ponded. With all said, I still don't like ponding.Of cuz that's totally my personal stand. Some people can be a totally love ponding and think that they are king of ponder. Well, happy ponding people then. Adopting some ideas from the blk meeting, other activities can be more practical. I think bitching sessions work 100 times much better. I know it's bad to bitch but sharing a common knowledge or understanding bond people better.
Sitting in a meeting observing people can be quite entertaining too. Especially it involves a clash between tradition and changes. As time moves on, things will change for better or for worse. Good tradition should be kept while dumb tradition should be dumped. I must say, I am quite resistant to changes that leads to the unknown. Trying to scrap a tradition without giving concrete alternative proposal is really like navigating without a chart or topo-ing without a map. Why not do what Singaporeans and engineers do best? Being a Singaporean engineering undergrad, I think we should just attempt to modify the idea to our liking, instead of creating our own tradition. Some of the damn bloodly stupid passed down tradition is really bloodly stupid but shouldn't we take a step back and look at why it was born? Shouldn't we salvage instead of killing it totally? I believe if operation ikea is being passed down because it has its own plus points. Over the years, there have been many new initiatives like movie marathon, wear the same colour days but not everyone surived. Being a survivor of such a unforgiving system definitely mean something.
